Description by the author

Erasums settled in Basel to publish his work. Erasmus had to leave his beloved Basel for Freiburg in 1529 after the Reformation. This route takes you also from Basel to Freiburg. The exact route Erasmus took is not known. But this route does take you along some nice spots and along the French-German border along the Rhine. In 1535, Erasmus returned back to Basel where he died in 1536, and is burried.
