Aa-land Rondje Hotel de Leygraaf, the Museum Farm, Heeswijk Castle and Berne Abbey

Aa-land Rondje Hotel de Leygraaf, the Museum Farm, Heeswijk Castle and the Abbey of Berne is a junction walk of more than 10 km from Hotel de Leygraaf or the parking lot near the Museum Farm. Of course, you can get on at any point.

This junction walk is a nice combination of the Museum Boerderij, Kasteel Heeswijk and the Abbey of Berne.

Berne Abbey is the longest existing monastic community in the Netherlands and has an eventful history. The abbey was founded in 1134, in the hamlet of Berne on the Meuse, near Heusden. Come in here! The book and abbey shop, located on the grounds of the Abbey of Berne, is a true specialty store in the field of spirituality and religion. Book lovers come from far and wide to browse the large collection in peace, enjoying a cup of coffee.

Heeswijk Castle is a former moated castle and dates back to the 11th century. This walk goes nicely around the Castle. Here are several beautiful viewpoints!

In the Museum Farm you will discover how people lived, lived and worked on a farm in the Brabantse Meierij between 1900 and 1930. Guided tours (on paper, with an audio tour) are possible in several languages. Next to the museum is a free car park.
