Discover all benefitsThis cycling route has been developed for the guests of the campsites affiliated with "My Favorite Place". The bike tour starts and ends on the forecourt of the ferry in Breskens (Veerplein) and leads along Camping de Boskreek in Breskens, Camping de Couter in Retranchement and Camping Het Platte Putje in Groede. We will drive over dikes with tall trees, along hidden watercourses, over country roads with old pollarded willows and will see wet meadows, Spanish forts, fortresses and the lighthouse. The nature reserves Baarzandse Kreek, de Blikken, Nieuwkerksekreek, het Zwin, Verdronken Zwarte Polder, Zwartegatse kreek and Waterdunen are also passed.
West-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, a region that is now Zeelandic, but belonged to Flanders until 1814. This can still be felt today, the enjoyable and sociable way of life of our neighbors happily spills over the border. So West-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen offers the best of both worlds. A rich cultural history, picturesque towns and villages, miles of sandy beaches with many cozy beach pavilions, rugged nature - all this can be found here.
