Syntus, bus 50 The Utrechtse Heuvelrug 'at its feet', this route can best be summarized. All facets of the National Park are covered. Forests, heaths, newly developed nature, prehistory etc. Experience the grandeur of the area on this tour, but also enjoy the many views. First of all, you can let your gaze wander from above over the former Plantation Willem III, then the Elster Berg is climbed from where you look north and you can imagine yourself in the Belgian Ardennes! There are also several views from the Amerongse Berg. Up to the bridge of Zaltbommel. So bring binoculars! The path goes up to Amerongen on unpaved paths and you will only encounter the first catering in that beautiful village. Wander through the quiet streets and if time permits, be sure to visit Amerongen Castle. Over the Zuylestein Estate it continues to Leersum, where the route ends at the beautiful village church. In Amerongen there is the possibility to change to the route Wijk bij Duurstede - Veenendaal or the route Amerongen - Scherpenzeel, from the same series as this: 'From Village to Village, on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and in De Gelderse Vallei.
