The intention is to cross the area between Yerseke and Goes in one day through a varied landscape. We provide lunch in Yerseke with an oyster tasting. In Goes, a coffee stop can be inserted.
Free parking at the carpool parking Vierwegen 1, Kapelle, between junctions 46 and 53. This is the closest point of the route to the motorway.
We drive through Kapelle, past fruit trees and through the polders to Yerseke, the mussel and oyster village of Zeeland. We drive to junction 63 and have a nice view of the oyster pits. In the Oesterij there is a museum with extensive explanations that is worthwhile (free for customers at the restaurant).
We now follow the Oosterschelde for a while and pass Wemeldinge , known for its many dive sites, until we reach Goes.
The Church of Mary Magdalene, the city harbour and the many monuments are worth a stopover. In Goes you can also take the steam train to Borsele.
