We did this walk in May 2014, no idea if it's still relevant.

The route of this promenade is now, on 06.07.2022, completely cleaned. This route runs on local hiking trails, most of the trails are accessible. Someone who would like to let us know in a comment if it is still possible? :o)

For this walk we parked the car at the cross 'Jubilaeum AD 2000' in 'Eselborn'. It is a small parking lot that can accommodate about 3 cars. This point immediately offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area. We first begin a descent to the town of 'Clervaux', which is located in a meander of the river 'Clerve'. Beautiful buildings can be seen there. If you wish, you can combine this walk with a visit to the Abbey and/or the Castle of Clervaux. The understated interior of the deanery church contrasts with the ornate exterior, a must to enter. From 'Clervaux' it crosses the surrounding woods to 'Mecher' to return to the starting point in a large loop around the golf course of 'Clervaux'. From the plateaus you have a good view of the beautiful surroundings. The abbey tower is also still in sight.
