Description by the author

Poreč countryside is a well-known wine making region with a landscape characterized by numerous vineyards. This tour passes by some of the region’s largest vineyards, numerous wine roads and wineries where you can taste excellent local wines.

We start from Poreč towards Bačva which is crossroads of many bike tours. Continuing towards Višnjan, along the road we can see magnificent Boškarin, autochthonous Istrian oxen which are among the largest breeds in Europe. Once in Višnjan make sure to visit the ancient Loggia and enjoy a stunning view of the west coast of Istria. The tour continues through Markovac and Vrh Lašići to Vižinada where we can see the life size model of historical Parenzana locomotive. In Vižinada we make a U turn and continue through hilly vineyards area above Mirna valley towards Kaštelir. From here we slowly descend through Tar, Cancini and Červar back to Poreč.
