This walking route takes you from New Lanark, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, along the Clyde Walkway that stretches an impressive piece of natural beauty. The river Clyde is carved deep into the landscape here and ensures that a unique environment is created through its wooded valley walls. The town of New Lanark is also worth a visit since it was built around a cotton mill in the early years of the industrial revolution. The remains of this place have been very well preserved and still form houses for the current residents.
