Description by the author

In 2019, this new 800-mile mainly off-road and carfree cycle route between England and the north coast of Scotland was created. The goal is to go from the south of England to the north of Scotland. This version takes you from Wirksworth. 98% of the route is off-road. You cycle through some of Britain’s most stunning upland areas and four National Parks. Theret is a big variety in difficulty: from rugged upland trails across exposed moorland, suitable for more experienced mountain bikers, to sections of canal path and disused railway perfect for family days out. So select your part carefully.
