Description by the author

Portsdown Hill is limestone ridge just north of the city of Portsmouth. This route departs and ends at the impressive Fort Southwick, which is certainly worth a visit. Parking is also provided here. You walk for a large part on the Pilgrim's Trail, along car-free paths and through beautiful nature. Enjoy it!
