Description by the author

The Swale is a channel between the mainland of Kent and the Isle of Sheppey. It is nice and quiet walking. This walking tour starts at the small port of Oare and first runs between the fields, then returns along the banks of the Swale. There are few shops or pubs along the route, so bring enough food in advance.
