Description by the author

Colchester is a southern English city located approximately 92 kilometers northeast of London. The city has a very strong claim to the title of oldest city in Britain since it was already a large and important city during the Roman occupation. A number of remains still point to that glory period, including the Roman church and Roman theater. Other eye-catchers that will be visited during the walk are Colchester Park, St Botolph's Priory, the Balkerne Gate, ... and a dozen other gems that will definitely make a Colchester trip worthwhile!
