Description by the author

Aberdeen is a Scottish city located in the northeast of the Scottish Lowlands. The city has a distinct architecture that distinguishes itself from other Scottish cities through the use of granite instead of sandstone as a building material. This ensures that the buildings require very little maintenance due to the exceptional hardness of the rock. The small mica minerals in the granite give the buildings a kind of silvery haze when the sun shines on them. Hence the nickname "the silver city". The walk takes you along the most notable sights, including the Salvation Army Citadel, the Town House, the Union Terrace Gardens, and a whole host of other beautiful gems.
