A rural ride through Shropshire, Staffordshire and a touch of Cheshire. A decent number of pubs and cafes, though some are a little off route - such as in Eccleshall. At weekends the Haberdashers Arm's in Knighton (Staffordshire) or the Anchor (a little to the south of High Offley) are beautifully traditional pubs (but check opening times as they are often closed at lunchtimes on weekdays and some evenings). Generally a lovely rural ride on quiet lanes, even if a long day out. There is a cycle route to avoid the A53 near Hodnet, although this is a fast road it is not, usually, very busy.
