Description by the author

Clockwise, you first cycle to Parcent on secondary roads (note: on Saturdays the market is in Jalon, and then the road is blocked, you must first cross the market on foot or follow the main road to Alcalalí). Then follows the beautiful Coll de Rates. Then you descend to Tarbena through a beautiful mountainous landscape and follow the climbs, which have much less difference in altitude than the Coll de Rates (maximum 200 altimeters), over several mountain ranges on the route. So you go up the Collado de Bixauca, you descend to the Castell de Castells, you climb little by little to Facheca, and you make the short side of the Puerto de Tollos . After the descent of the Port of Tollos you pedal on an undulating plateau (note: it goes up and down with steep sections sometimes short of ascent (up to 12%)) and finally descends abruptly to Vall d'Ebo. Then you climb the Pla de Petracos (the descent passes through a beautiful area with many rocks along the road) towards Benigembla and gradually descend back to Jalón (with a break for a small climb from Benigembla to Murla). Almost the entire road is on quiet roads.
