National Cycle Route 4: Søndervig - Copenhagen

Thanks to Denmark's vast coastlines, we also have a national 'coast to coast' cycling route (N4). From flat West Jutland, you'll head through the Lakes Highland (Søhøjlandet) in the Aarhus region - Denmark's largest lake and forest area - via the charming island of Samsø and Viking history in the towns of Lejre and Roskilde to Denmark's capital: Copenhagen. Due to the varied landscape, some parts of the route are best cycled by mountain bike.
