It is said that they lived in caves all over the Valais: dwarves – wild, bearded and industrious. On the historic Gogwärgiwäg road, visitors encounter ten wooden dwarf sculptures (Gogwärgi-Platzjini). Artistic, hand-carved dwarves relate their stories from the Upper Valais – richly illustrated and bright so that even the very youngest visitors are guaranteed fun. The hike begins along fields and pastures, then through the forest to Fiesch passing close to the impressive stone pyramid, the Gogwärgiturm. The natural formation has long fascinated adults and children alike. Suitable for pushchairs, the level path begins in Lax and continues to the Fiescher Valley.
