Description by the author

Stroll through the different stages of vegetation from the head of the Fafleralp Glacier to Langgletscher. The head of the Lang Glacier has been designated by UNESCO. The fauna is of national importance. From the Lonza bridge, ascend to Lake Grund. After crossing the Lonza bridge there are several ways to reach the Anen hut. We recommend following the prominent moraine above the Lang Glacier, which affords a birds-eye view of the glacier itself. The views of the Lötschen Valley and the glacial surroundings are also magnificent. Descend from the Anen hut through a forest of young larches and across alpine meadows directly to the Anen Creek bridge, then past the beautiful Lake Guggi back to the Fafleralp car park.
