The High Rhine Valley between Kasierstuhl/Hohentengen and Schwaderloch/Albbruck offers a unique blend of relaxing scenery and historical sights.
The riverside paths on both sides of the Rhine invite you to discover and get to know the sights and landscapes along the route in a comfortable way. The route describes the paths on both banks, some of which are still little known, and provides locals and tourists alike with numerous tips on the sights they will encounter along the way.
There are two ways to explore the two banks of the river. Route A is called "D' Rhy abe" by the locals. It runs from Hohentengen on the High Rhine to Schwaderloch in Switzerland. Route B, called "D' Rhy u'e", runs from Albbruck to Kaiserstuhl in Switzerland. The routes offer different routes through intersections with different hiking trails. You should allow one to two days to hike the entire route. All routes are well signposted and have numerous restaurants and accommodation options.
