Description To a mountain summit with a magnificent view at an elevation of 2351 m
This mountain tour starts in Les Mosses. From the lakes of "Vers les Lacs," you hike in a beautiful, wild
mountain setting.
The last mile is the hardest! Once you see the view of Lac Lioson, the ascent becomes steeper to
the top.
On the way back, you can enjoy the terrace of Lac Lioson. From here, it's about 45
minutes to Col des Mosses.
The starting point is at Col des Mosses
Between 2 large buildings, at the top of the Col, the hike begins heading east.
After the meadow, turn right, through a tunnel and a little further left, steeply uphill.
In Lioson d'en Bas, a cheesemaker, keep right and ascend the fresh lakes.
At the next intersection, you'll see the Lac Lioson down to the left. Here you go up, up
to the top of Pic Chaussy.
You descend along the same path as this last ascent, back to the intersection where you first saw the Lac Lioson.
You continue descending to Lac Lioson.
After this beautiful terrace by the mountain lake, you continue down to Lioson d'en Bas and from there to Col des Mosses.
