Description by the author

The Via Belgica lives up to its name with the international expansion from South Limburg to Belgium. In Roman times, France, Belgium, parts of the Netherlands, and Germany all belonged to the Roman Empire. During this bike tour, you will discover the Belgian municipality of Riemst, the area between Tongeren and Maastricht. You can taste the atmosphere of rural "villages" such as Millen, Genoelselderen, Herderen, Val-Meer and of course Riemst itself.

It is possible to park at Millen Castle (Kattenstraat 22 in Riemst).

The Dutch cycle path Via Belgica can be found here.
