Departure and endpoint is Cycling Junction 52 in Aubel. Nearby there is parking available for those arriving by car and bike at the starting point.
Because this route runs along old railways, it is fairly flat except for the beautiful climb of 1.5 km to the Three Country Point.
This tourist spot (with catering) is also the turning point of the route.
Since the return journey is the same as the outward journey, the total distance is 34.4 km.
Here and there, directional signs are still missing, but you should follow the direction to Aachen on the way there.
When descending from the Vaalserberg, be careful to find the beginning of Ligne 39 again (a green entrance).
From Plombières, you need to follow the signs RAVel L(igne) 38 back to Aubel.
You can download the GPX track of the route below (middle button).
