Description by the author

Ardennes Walk ,... A walk in the Calestienne (limestone region) is a narrow region characterized by the presence in the subsoil of limestone rocks dating from the Middle Devonian (about 370 million years ago), and which extends over 130 km, north of the Ardens plateau, from Trélon to Louveigné.

The landscape of Nismes and Dourbes is typical of this region; light-coloured weathered rocks, alternating steep slopes, ridges and depressions, spectacular erosions in the depths... with the characteristic chalk meadows .....

Hilly hike with some fast climbs
