Participation Club ride VC Diest 23 July 2023 - Marked ride
No club ride for the members of VCT and so on my own with some die Harts we drove to the Vespa Club of Diest to participate in their annual event and ride the Loterbolrit. VC Diest had organized itself nicely with the worse weather that was predicted and placed a large tent at the Citadel to receive everyone well. Both cold and hot drinks were served in the tent and the best of all was the big hot-dog between half a French loaf of bread. Because we had arranged to meet some members of our club, this was a pleasant wait in a cozy setting. At 12.10pm we started the Loterbol ride and we were able to finish the ride nice and dry without any problems. For many people, parts of the Eddy Merckx route were recognized. Definitely recommended to drive after!
