Markroute

This route takes its name from the stream The Mark (Marcq) which flows into the Dender. From the center of Herne you cycle through a hilly landscape to Galmaarden, with here and there a Brabant draught horse in the meadow. The route continues towards Bever and then to flirt with the border of Wallonia. Typical of this region are the many farms and chapels that "paint" the landscape.
