Description by the author

The Holzwarche is a stream in the Belgian province of Liège and a tributary of the Warche in the Belgian municipality of Büllingen in the Eastern Cantons.

The stream rises in a forest north of the border hamlet of Losheimergraben. This is the beginning of a journey through a number of small meanders in the municipal forest of Krinkelt. Near Wirtzfeld, the Holzwarche flows into the Warche and empties into Lake Bütgenbach which is located at an altitude of 550 m. The Holzwarche valley (with wild daffodils in spring) is a nature reserve and a Natura 2000 area.source: wikipedia
