The Vespa season 2023 is about to start!
We gather at the club room Black & White where we meet after the annual winter break.
After a pleasant meeting, chat and a coffee, we all listen attentively to the briefing of our ride master on duty. We get ready for the start at 1 pm and make sure we are ready on the saddle in time to start the ride in convoy.
We respect the rules and are extra attentive given the months of silence without the Vespa ;-)
First stop at +- 31 km at the Hubertushoeve.
Everyone was happy that we arrived at this top location! When entering, it was very noticeable that everyone went towards the fireplaces to warm up. This with a nice soup of the day or hot chocolate it was no problem and it was done in no time.
The promised rays of sunshine were nowhere to be seen during our opening ride. So we had to brave the chilly afternoon for a second time at 7 c°. With this hard core this was no problem, rain or shine, we couldn't be stopped from getting on our steel steed and continuing the ride.
Again we could enjoy beautiful landscapes and roads. Remarkable was the fact that the streets looked good despite the heavy rain of the past few days.
Second stop and also the final stop was planted in our Club Room Black & White.
Satisfied, we closed the first opening stage and most of us were able to catch a glimpse of the race with pot and pint.
