From the walking guide 'Trainwalker 4'

GR 512 Brabantine Hill Route | GR 5 | Regional GR Hageland | GR 561 Kempen-Maaspad

After a visit to the Virgin Tower, the route heads towards Scherpenheuvel. You descend the hollow road at Galgenberg via Kaggevinne. After the open landscape at Kloosterberg, you walk through Webbekoms Broek, a nature reserve crisscrossed by several waterways where the wide reed beds provide a breeding and resting place for water and marsh birds. Once on the old city walls, you get acquainted with fragments of the history of Diest: the beguinage, Boerenkrijgplein, and Petrolpoort each tell their part of the story.
