We did it, on one side well marked road on 17-05-2023. We cut the last part that passes over the RaVel and go straight on the rue de la Gare. The full course can be downloaded here.
Walk of the Strange. Walk more than 15 km, pass 4 villages? This is possible in our Belgian Ardennes. Left at Hollange to Honville, cross Sainlez to make a detour to Chaumont and return to Hollange.
The first six kilometers paved under the feet but what beautiful views!
The past of the war is still important here in the form of monuments, commemorative plaques, ... And also real weapons. In one of the photos, an M115 howitzer that is exhibited at the memorial park of General Irzyk in Chaumont .
Have fun with this walk

"Departure from Hollange, a small village located on a rocky outcrop on the site of a rich and vast Roman villa.
Before leaving this beautiful village, we visit the water mill, fed by a distraction of the strange, and the portal of the church where there is a beautiful Neolithic whetstone.
Cross the underground N4 to reach Honville, a small village with grouped buildings, surrounded by beautiful wetlands. In the chapel is a monumental and colorful fresco by Sabine Decoune.
On the way now to Sainlez, with its Civic Memory Walk and Museum, in memory of December 1944. In the church, an altarpiece of the 17th century and remarkable sculptures.
Continue the hike to Strange Lake, famous for its trout farm, and return to Hollange.
