Leaving Charleroi, industry along the Sambre is very present. As soon as you leave the river, shortly after Falisolle, you will arrive at the RAVeL dedicated to Félicien Rops. The landscape near Mettet is characterized by fields and meadows. By the ridge you reach the RAVeL of Molignée. On this former railway line 150, vehicles from the limestone quarries used the bucolic valley. Through tunnels and bridges, all works of art, you reach the artists' village of Maredret. The abbeys of Maredsous and Maredret are nearby. This valley has a lot to offer! You will find even more beauty in the village of Sosoye, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. It is also called the village of the Montagnards, nickname associated with the limestone mountain that dominates the landscape. Along the way, you will also pass the ruins of the medieval castle of Montaigle, from where you will have a beautiful panorama. As we approach Anhée, the small valley opens. A little further, the Molignée flows into the Meuse...
