Description by the author

Via a stretch of road that precedes the RAVeL, you can warm up before you take on a series of four slag heaps, where you can enjoy an extraordinary panorama of the iron and steel factories. Only the climb of the Saint-Théodore slag heap is a bit trickier, but if you take a breather occasionally, it's definitely doable. This walk is perfectly suitable for families. Photographers get the best lighting conditions in the afternoon. Sturdy hiking shoes are recommended.
