Discover all benefitsDue to a fire, the starting point is not accessible: changing rooms and showers are also inaccessible. It is better to park by car at the carpool parking at the E 40 exit Hoegaarden (https://maps.app.goo.gl/TqdfxAwctxv2vvp3A), where you can join the red loop of the route.
WARNING: Construction work on the route. There is still construction work on the route: a detour is provided!
The mountain bike route Hoegaarden consists of two loops:
You start at sports hall De Struysvogel. First, you follow the blue loop, then you leisurely ride through the water mill and the (play)forest of Rommershoven towards Outgaarden. You cross the language border for the first time and can enjoy the beautiful Walloon landscapes. You wind back through the beautiful park of Hoegaarden. There you have the opportunity to make a pit stop in the center of Hoegaarden. After your break, there is a steep climb waiting for you, and you come to the junction of the red and blue loops. Follow the red arrows here and climb further to Hauthem, descend to Hoksem and climb back to the Kauterhof. Through a fun descent and gentle climb, you return to the center of Hoegaarden.
