This walk starts at the le Roannay & le Périgny holiday homes of the Lodomez family ("vakantiehuis.be"). Very nicely decorated chalets at the end of a dead-end street in Xhoffraix. This walk was partly based on the hiking map from the Xhoffraix Hautes-Fagnes Tourist Office, but... it is easier to find/search your way with GPS. The walk is an edited version and combines existing hiking routes. So don't be "tempted" by the wolf, the black grouse, or the deer, even if they cross your path multiple times. Follow the GPS or map instructions from RouteYou or the QPS program you are using. Following the Bayehon upstream takes you over several little bridges with flowing, sometimes foaming water underneath, especially in winter and spring. The stretch from the Bayehon waterfall to the Old Oak involves quite a bit of scrambling over tree roots, but... that makes it adventurous. Before reaching Chez Remy, take a moment to turn into the Adam alley at the end of the walk. It is definitely worth it for a warm drink, a refreshing local beer, or a simple meal.
