Discover all benefitsOn September 26, 1864, Nadar (Gaspard-Félix Tournachon was his real name) flew from the Porte de Schaerbeek in Brussels, during the first balloon flight on Belgian territory, bound for Langemark. There, he hit a tree and deflated. This route roughly follows the original Nadar road, but then along beautiful sometimes winding roads. What you encounter here, Nadar also saw from his hot air balloon on his first flight in Belgium.
Nadar was not only an aeronaut, but also an icon in the world of photography, and certainly in aerial photography.
