This walk leads to the Jausenstation Foisching, a hut serving food and drink, where there is also a feeding area for wild deer. The adventure begins in Niederau and leads along the "Auenweg" trail. At the top there are fine views to the south-west. At 6.6 kilometres in length and 250 vertical metres of ascent, it is also suitable for families with children and older walkers.
This walk begins at the car park of the Markbachjochbahn lifts in Niederau. Take the "Ing.-Hochmuth-Straße" road to Hotel Staffler. Take the right-hand corner and then turn off left onto the "Auenweg" trail. Follow this for around one kilometre, past a play area back to an area of houses. There, follow the "Grafenweg" road uphill to the Jausenstation Foisching, a hut serving food and drink, and then continueon to the wild-animal feeding area. Return the way you came.
