Description by the author

The Alpbachtal region offers ideal conditions for roadbike rides catering to all abilities. It is no cooincidence that Rattenberg, officially the smallest town in Austria, will host the start of two races during the 2018 UCI Road World Championships. This ride, known as the Small Lakes Loop, is ideal for beginners and those in search of an easy ride with fine views. At 30km in length and with only 250 vertical metres of climbing, it is very much a ride for everyone. One of the most attractive sections is between the Reintalersee and Krummsee lakes. Located on a plateau surrounded by mountains and forests, these two lakes are among the warmest swimming lakes in Tirol and offer plenty of space to relax as well as lakeside restaurants serving traditional food.
Leaving from the centre of Rattenberg, the route heads along the flat Inn Cycle Path via Radfeld to Kundl. Here riders cross over the Inn river to Breitenbach. In the centre of Breitenbach turn off right onto the L211.
