Story
While preparing this hike a had just a idea of what the views where but when we arrived at Sorebois we where truly amazed of the view. A tremendous panorama on the Val d'Anniviers and its mountains. Although the weather wasn't ideal, the cloud formations where truly amazing. the high route along the lake is also recommendable with very nice views on the lake and glacier. The end of that trail leads us to Cabane de Moiry above the glacier, arrived at the cabane at noon so it was lunch with unique view.
The return gets us back to the lake, the other side, along the hiking trail.
Tips:
- Do not attempt the hike when the weather is not ideal, much snow will result in a dangerous trail.
- You can eat lunch at Cabane de Moiry, eating with a tremendous panorama
- When returning to the starting point you can also take the high trail back instead of the trail along the lake (lower path).
