Description by the author

One-way hike from Playa Santiago to San Sebastian.
This track forks before El Cabrito to the left to descend in the spectacular Barranco Juan de Vera.
Take along enough water as there are no more opportunities before arriving at San Sebastian (If necessary go to El Cabrito & ask for water).
Count 7 hours to complete the hike.
Swimming opportunity at Playa de la Guancha & San Sebastian.
In San Sebastian you can catch the 17h45 bus 3 to bring you back to Playa de Santiago. Or ask for a taxi at the harbor.

The trail is well maintained and is marked with white-red stripes as GR 132. It is part of the 'Trip around the island of La Gomera'. The descent in the Barranco Juan de Vera is a variation and is not marked as GR.

The hike follows WALK 14 in the 'Rother Walking Guide' of La Gomera, by Klaus and Annette Wolfsperger.

ITINERARY 13/10 on the 'La Gomera 1:48.000 Hiking Routes Map' edition 2015.
