Erlangen is a southern German city located approximately 17 kilometers north of Neurenberg. After the edict of Nantes in 1685, the city was a refuge for the religious refugees who called themselves the Huguenots. They have left a clear mark on the current cityscape that stands out from other cities in the surrounding region. The hugenottenbrunnen is the clearest monument of that and stands in the central park of Erlangen. The walk will of course take you past these locations and will ensure that a positive memory about Erlangen will linger for a long time.
