Beschreibung vom Autor

Appointment at the neo-Gothic St. Peter's Church (V) of Hulste. With your back to the church, you step diagonally right into the Kasteelstraat and follow it to the end. At the crossroads, with a private road straight ahead, turn left. Then take the Oostrozebekestraat on the right, a narrow road between fields and meadows. Turn left with the road and at the fork follow the Aardappelstraat, diagonally left. You pass a farm with a chapel and turn right at the intersection. After the house with number 66 turn left, direction 62 and 64. Past the last house you walk further on a narrow path, which is forbidden for riders. You step straight onto the Muizelmolen 1 from 1840, which now houses a restaurant. At the end of the path you are at the foot of the mill. In the boxes on the left, a finch sets up cages to test young finches on their singing talent. Leave the Muizelstraat, turn right and continue walking through the Tombrouckstraat. Beautiful views here, but on the left also the smoke plumes of the factories along the Roeselare-Leie canal. At the crossroads, with a straight road to a farm and a dead end road on the left, turn right. You step past the 18th-century farm Ter Tonnebroucke 2 and arrive at a T-junction with a chapel. You are now in the hamlet of Sint-Pietersknok. Left. It continues between scattered farms, fields and pastures. Ignore Oostrozebeekstraat 47-49 on the left and continue walking until the next intersection. Here you turn left, into the cul-de-sac. Past three large stables and a farm, the asphalt turns into a dirt road, which can be muddy. You keep following them. Ignore a field road on the right and continue walking until the first quadrangle. On the left is a small farm. Turn right here and continue walking on the winding gravelly, partly asphalt road. Along a spacious building you step further to the T-junction. Turn left, past the Merelhoeve, on a quiet concrete road. You turn with the road to the right and then to the left. Ignore a road on the right, then turn left, into Otteca 9-14. You are now in Oostrozebeke. The landscape remains the same: fields and meadows, with loose buildings and in the distance the Muizelmolen. You turn right with the road and come to a T-junction. On the left the Muizelstraat and Hulste. Turn right and follow Otteca, so you stay in Oostrozebeke for a while. Ignore Otteca on the right with limited numbers and step further up to a giant conservatory. Turn left here and follow the wide gravel road along the conservatory to the end. Turn left again, ignore an asphalt road on the right and continue walking on a cul-de-sac. At a first house you turn right. You are now walking in the Potteriehoek. Turn left with the road and step past some houses. Then continue walking on a narrow axis path between the fields. Then follow the fence and the edge of the field, first to the right, then to the left until you reach an asphalt road. On the left the entrance of house no. 26, a spacious building. Turn right and keep walking straight ahead, without caring about side roads. At the T-junction you can read that you are coming from the Klein Harelbekestraat. Turn left and immediately right. Ignore the Kallestraat on the left and keep walking straight ahead, when the Muizelstraat joins on the left. Leave the Lijsterlaan on the right and walk past the agglomeration sign of Hulste. Also leave the Kwademeerslaan on the right and step on the cycle path here. Take the first path on the right, between the sports fields. You enter a square with parking and step past the Urban Primary School North, towards the church. Follow the Tieltsestraat and keep left at the fork at the electrical shop. Walk down the street and you're back at the church.
