Descripció de l'autor

You walk through Meuse beds and gullies from bygone times and you pass earthworks from the early Middle Ages or even older. Furthermore, you will of course pass the Taterbosch. The region is also rich in lakes with many water birds and is famous in the Netherlands for its tree frog population. All in all, it is a versatile walk in a varied landscape. Starting point is the municipal parking lot in the Doort, near the intersection Doorderweg – Lange Akkersweg – Bosweg (junction 21).

This walking route largely follows the municipal network of knot walks, but is marked differently with its own route arrows with the tree frog and a T. You can also download an extensive route description (see under 'Download' under 'Print PDF'). The route is often unpaved and narrow, which means that it will often be more difficult to walk after a wet period. There is also a northern loop in this area that takes you through the De Doort area.

If you have any comments about the route, you can report them via routepunt@visitzuidlimburg.nl.
