This route is plotted in the eastern sandy area. The route runs partly through the southern IJssel valley, the deck sand landscape of Twente and the Acherhoek and the moraine area of Salland and Montferland.
The eastern sandy area is characterized by micro-relief: at short distances there are relatively large differences in altitude. Between the isolated moraines are wide deck sand areas, with an alternation of deck sand ridges and plains.
The tour starts and ends at Het IJsselpaviljoen in Zutphen (IJsselkade 1).
