An undulating spring ride with only a couple of steep climbs from the Severn to the Wye through the Welsh border counties of Shropshire & Herefordshire to Hay-on-Wye and back.
Revised route now starting from the historic Iron Bridge. A stiff climb takes you out of the Severn Gorge to Much Wenlock then through Corvedale to 11's by Ludlow's imposing castle. The second leg takes you through Herefordshire's black and white villages to cross the River Wye at the Witney toll bridge for lunch in Hay. Return across the Wye to skirt the Welsh border through Brilley, Kington and Presteigne for an afternoon tea stop at the Old Wheelwright's in Little Brampton. The last stage skirts round the Stretton hills and the final few miles along the Severn from Cressage to a pub finish in Ironbridge.
