Mios [mjɔs] est une commune du Sud-Ouest de la France, située dans le département de la Gironde , dans le canton de Gujan-Mestras.Mios se situe au sud-ouest du département de la Gironde et plus précisément dans le Val de l'Eyre, dans la forêt des Landes. Elle fait partie du parc naturel régional des Landes de Gascogne. La commune a la forme d’un fuseau allongé placé dans un axe approximatif sud-ouest/nord-est. Sa limite nord touche le lieu-dit de Croix-d’Hins, tandis que sa pointe sud-ouest passe près du lieu-dit Gare de Caudos sur la route menant à Sanguinet. Environ vingt-huit kilomètres séparent ces deux extrémités. Sa largeur est estimée à huit kilomètres pour une superficie de 13 741 hectares. Cette grande superficie place la commune au premier rang du canton de Gujan-Mestras. Son altitude varie de quatre à environ 65 mètres.
