The Wildmoos Trail is a challenging route connecting Seefeld to the Wildmoosalm hut. Cross-country skiers can begin the adventure either in Seefeld – where there is a connection to the World Cup Trail C1 – or at the Wildmoosalm hut. The trail itself is wide and well-maintained, but the rolling profile means you will need to be a relatively experienced cross-country skier to enjoy it. A ski bus operates between Seefeld and Wildmoos.
From the Wildmoosalm hut, ski alongside the road for a while before heading uphill through a forested area until you reach the top of a ridge in the Schöllingwald forest. Then descend along a series of corners towards the World Championships Arena in Seefeld before skiing a short section of the World Cup Trail C1. Turn right and head up, above the Kirchwald forest, back to the Wildmoosalm hut. Time for a well-deserved rest!
