He is sometimes called the Flemish Robin Hood. The fortunes of Jan De Lichte and his gang of robbers from Velzeke were therefore literary immortalized by Hugo Claus and Louis Paul Boon. Anton Cogen made a scenario for an immersive walk through the Velzeek landscape and used excerpts from Danny Lamarcq's monologue. The historical figure of Jan De Lichte is of course central. But the story digs deeper: how does our society deal with people who don't color within the lines? And what role do you play in life to not be locked out or locked up...
